Terms of Service
Last updated: 10/08/2026 · Effective: 10/08/2026
Verso, operated by Dr. Hormone MD (“Verso”, “we”, “us”), provides hormone therapy by telehealth to adults in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Delaware. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and the care we provide. Please read them before booking.
By booking a visit, becoming a member or otherwise using our services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
This is not emergency care
Our services are not for medical emergencies. If you are having a medical emergency, including chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, a suspected stroke, or thoughts of harming yourself or others, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department. If you are in crisis, you can also call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
We do not provide urgent or emergency care, and we do not monitor messages around the clock. Do not use our website, portal or messaging to report an emergency.
Who we can treat
To receive care from us, you must:
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Be physically located in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania or Delaware at the time of each visit. This is a requirement of state licensing law, not a preference, and it applies to every visit rather than only the first.
- Have the legal capacity to enter into these terms and to consent to your own care.
- Provide accurate and complete information about your health history, symptoms and medications.
We may decline to provide or continue care if these conditions are not met, or if a clinician determines that telehealth is not appropriate for you.
How care works, and who provides it
Clinical services are provided by licensed clinicians. Verso provides the platform, administration and support for that care; it does not practise medicine, and it does not direct or override a clinician’s medical judgment.
A clinician-patient relationship begins only when a clinician accepts you as a patient after reviewing your information. Completing a form, paying a fee or booking a call does not by itself create that relationship or entitle you to treatment.
Care begins with bloodwork, which is drawn at a laboratory near you before anything is prescribed, followed by a video visit with a clinician who has reviewed your results. What is recommended, and whether anything is prescribed at all, is a clinical decision made at that visit.
Prescriptions
No prescription is guaranteed. A clinician will prescribe only where there is a legitimate medical purpose, based on your bloodwork, your symptoms and your history, and in line with federal and state law and professional standards. A clinician may decline to prescribe, may prescribe something other than what you expected, or may stop treatment at any time on clinical grounds.
Some of the medications we prescribe, including testosterone, are controlled substances. These carry additional requirements under federal and state law governing how and whether they may be prescribed by telehealth. Those requirements may mean a clinician cannot prescribe a particular medication for you, or cannot do so without further steps. We follow them, and we will tell you plainly where they affect your care.
We do not sell medication through this website. Prescriptions are sent to a pharmacy, and you pay the pharmacy or dispensary for what you are prescribed.
Medication is yours alone. Do not share it, sell it or give it to anyone else.
Fees, membership and billing
- Your first visit is $120, charged once. It covers your baseline bloodwork, your first visit with a clinician, and your first month of membership.
- Membership is $99 a month after that. It covers your visits, your labs, messaging with your clinician and ongoing adjustments to your treatment.
- Medication is not included. It is billed separately, at cost, with no markup by us. Prices quoted on this website are estimates and depend on your pharmacy, your dose and your plan.
Membership renews automatically each month until you cancel. We charge the payment method you give us on the same day each month. You can cancel at any time, as described below.
We may change our prices. If we do, we will tell you before the change applies to you, and you may cancel rather than accept it.
We do not bill insurance. Some prescriptions may be covered by your own insurance at your own pharmacy; that is between you and your insurer.
Cancelling, and refunds
You can cancel your membership at any time by writing to us at the address at the foot of this page or through your patient portal. There is no cancellation fee and no minimum term.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you have already paid for. You keep access to care until then. We do not charge you again after that, and we do not refund part of a month.
On the initial $120 payment:
- If you cancel before your bloodwork is drawn, we refund it in full.
- If you cancel after your bloodwork is drawn but before your first visit, we refund it less the cost of the laboratory work already performed.
- After your first visit has taken place, it is not refundable. The visit is the service, and it has been provided.
Medication is not refundable once it has been dispensed. Pharmacies cannot lawfully accept returned medication, so neither we nor they can refund it.
If you believe you have been charged in error, write to us and we will look into it and correct it where we are wrong.
Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate, current and complete information, and tell us when it changes. Clinical decisions are made on what you tell us.
- Attend your visits and complete the bloodwork your clinician orders. We may pause or end care if you do not.
- Keep your account and portal credentials to yourself. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
- Use the services only for yourself. Do not book or receive care on behalf of another person.
Medical records and privacy
How we handle your information, including your medical information, is set out in our Privacy Policy and the HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices published with it. Those documents form part of your agreement with us.
By giving us your email address and phone number, you agree that we may contact you about your care, your appointments, your laboratory work and your prescriptions. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time without affecting your care.
What is on this website
The guides, articles and other general information on this website are published for education. They are not medical advice, they are not a diagnosis, and they are not a substitute for a consultation with a clinician who knows your history. Do not start, stop or change any treatment on the basis of something you read here.
Prices, treatments and other details on this website may change, and may not reflect what is right or available for you.
The content, design, text, images and marks on this website belong to us or to our licensors. You may read and share them; you may not copy, republish or use them commercially without our written permission.
Limits on our liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for professional negligence in the provision of medical care, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Those liabilities are unaffected by this section.
Subject to that, the website and its general content are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of the website.
We do not control the laboratories, pharmacies, payment processors or portal providers we work with, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions beyond our own role in coordinating your care.
Ending or changing these terms
We may stop providing services to you where we must for clinical, legal or safety reasons, or where you have breached these terms. Where we can, we will tell you first and help you find continuing care.
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will tell you before it takes effect. Continuing to use the services after that means you accept the updated terms. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Verso is organised, and the courts of that state have jurisdiction over any dispute arising under them. If any part of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
